Our Mediators
Penny Dunne qualified as a solicitor in 1980 and was a specialist family lawyer until 2005. She trained as a mediator in 1990 and was undertaking mediations alongside her solicitor's practice until 2005. For the past seven years she has been working full-time as a mediator.
Penny was involved in the development and regulation of family mediation nationwide from 1993 to 1999, first on the Board of the Family Mediators' Association and subsequently as Chair of the Professional Standards Committee at the UK College of Family Mediators. She is a Professional Practice Consultant.
In 1999 Penny was one of the founder directors of FMIS and is currently its Financial Director. Having practised for many years as a solicitor representing children in care proceedings, she trained in Direct Consultation with Children in Mediation in 2004. She is an associate member of Resolution and mediates in Eastbourne, St. Leonards and Brighton.
